Here is a photo of how the setup is in the front of van while I drive. I am standing more in the middle of the van taking this photo, so it isn’t exactly what I see from my seat.
I have a go pro camera in the center on top of the Ford screen and my phone beside it. The phone is always ready to take a photo or video, so all I have to do is press a button. They do not block my field of view while driving.
I also used the van cupholder to put a tablet holder. This is where I put my Ipad if I use it for maps.
Since I don’t have a copilot to read and follow the trip log, I had to get creative. I use the tablet holder to hold my travel log. I wrote an arrow on a sticky that I move down the line as I progress though the mile markers. This is very easy to do, and I only glance over at it for a moment. It is the same as changing the radio station.
