Visit to the Dredge #8 and a look at the Alaska Pipeline. This tour was also very well done.
At first, the tour guide spoke to us about the Alaska Pipeline.
The pipeline is 800 miles long and starts in Prudhoe Bay and ends in Valdez. It was built in 1977 and there are 12 pump stations that move the oil through the pipe. The pipeline is currently owned by Alyeska Corporation.
After the short talk about the pipeline, we boarded a train to the dredge. The train stopped a couple of times and the tour guide got out of the train and spoke about the area we were seeing. The train also had video displays where everyone on the train could see what he was talking about.

My gold weighed out to be worth $10. I enjoyed this excursion to Dredge #8.
