Fort Steele Heritage Park

First Traveling Day:

Fort Steele, British Columbia

Our first traveling day was from Liberty Lake, WA to Fort Steel RV Resort in Fort Steele, British Columbia Canada.   Our travel log says we will be traveling 183 miles and it estimates 6 hours driving time.  The driving time is inflated to allow for stops for lunch or sightseeing, crossing through Canadian border, etc.   My actual mileage was 183.9 miles.

Included excursion upon arrival to Fort Steele was a visit to the Fort Steel Heritage Town Park.  This is a living history museum from the 1870’s time period.  It was an interesting visit.

After my visit to the heritage town, I only had a couple mile drive to our stop for the night which was Fort Steele Campground.   Later that evening we had our travel meeting for the following day and were provided with root beer floats.  After the meeting some folks stayed to play a game called “Left Right Center”.

Next stop: Banff, British Columbia Canada
