Tok, Alaska Take Two

Sorry for the delay in posting.  Since returning home I have had two funerals to attend.  Two wonderful people and I will miss you both very much.  Rest in Peace.

Today we return to Tok, Alaska.  This is an overnight stop on our way to the next destination.  This is also the second time we stayed in this campground on this Alaskan trip.  We earlier stayed it on our way from Chicken, Alaska to Fairbanks, Alaska.

I left Valdez at 8am.  It was 47 degrees out and sunny.  I drove 256.1 miles and when I arrived at the campground in Tok it was 62 degrees and sunny.  It was a pretty drive.

Since my van was so dusty and dirty, I utilized the campground RV wash for a cost of $10.  The goal was just to get a good bit of the road dust and some mud off of the van.  I also stopped at the grocery store and did my laundry at the campground.

Dinner was on our own and we met in the evening for our travel briefing.  We were told to bring one canned good per person and after the briefing we had ice cream and folks shared RV disaster stories that they have experienced in the past.  There were some funny stories.
